Why would Patrick Fitzgerald, a U.S. District Attorney in Chicago, spend almost two years trying to burn a book?

Because the book, called "Triple Cross" is a documented indictment of Fitzgerald and a clear conviction on how one man and his cohorts sat by and let 911 happen. That simple.

Peter Lance, the book's author, is no lightweight though. Lance is a five time Emmy winning investigative reporter who has worked for some of the top media and press outlets. What he doesn't have is the power of an abusive federal office; or the judicial contacts to fend off one man's silent dictatorship and apparent need for censorship.

"Triple Cross" is an extremely careful book with well documented facts that leads the reader to, at the very least, Patrick Fitzgerald's malfeasance. At most, it details how Fitzgerald and others may have been complicit in the loss of American lives on that dreadful day in September.

This ain't fiction but a timeline of facts that leads you step by step to a place where all you can say is "oh my God" as you turn the page.

Unfortunately Mr. Fitzgerald doesn't want you to turn the page but would rather burn it and the writer who wrote it. But don't forget that one man, Fitzgerald, with the power of his position can bankrupt anyone and still sing the National Anthem.

WHY AMERICA NEEDS ANOTHER 911 CRISIS

I wasn't surprised this weekend, when --in the midst of a hostile North Korea and a volatile Iran-- I heard everyone on AM radio talking politics. Shameless. The worse offender was one of those small conservative live radio streams that promotes itself as "cutting edge." All they could 'blab' about was some reality television show and what had happened to Miss California. Foolish.

By the time I walked away from it, I already had my opinion on it all: We need another crisis, the likes of 911, because Americans are more complacent than ever before. Can you think of a better way of waking up the country?

North Korea's ability to reach the United States with nuclear tipped ICBMs and Iran's recent reelection of Ahmadinejad are two very real threats to the west and the world over. Yet the conservatives I heard were all diddling their opinions back and fro and the talk radio callers could only repeat the popular and silly axiom: "keep your powder dry" regarding another chance to gain the White House. Pathetic.

The next administration won't be Republican and, after an attack, surely won't be democrat. The next administration will be communistic in nature; replete with food rationing and rolling marshal law. A militocracy.

Nope, this isn't some kooky Alex Jones theory, it is very much possible because after an attack (and the short lived social uprising or patriotic revolution that will ensue) we won't have the 'stomach' for much else.

Precisely because if we can't really talk about it now, while we can, then we won't need to then (after an attack) when we won't be able to do much about it. Yes, I know, you think different; I can hear your excuses in my head. But all we do is think about it and yet we do nothing about a government and a people asleep.

Inevitably people get the government that they deserve.

MERCILESS OFFENSIVE

It is being reported by UK newspaper The Independent that North Korea is making very grave threats. North Korea is now saying that if they are provoked (such as the planned shoot down, scheduled within ten days, of one of their test missiles?) that they will use nuclear bombs in a merciless offensive.

For one moment, imagine what the likely scenario could turn into. The U.S. patrols international waters, as had been planned to do along with South Korea and Japan. North Korea then lets out a nuclear bomb similar to the one used in Hiroshima (they now have the capability) taking out a small portion of America's fleet and decimating the fleet of South Korea and Japan.

Then expect that, South Korea will immediately exchange nuclear missiles with North Korea. China will threaten Japan or the United States not to retaliate. Iran will choose that time to threaten or even strike Israel (with Russia unofficially supporting it) and when all is said and done the entire U.S (see chart below) would be threatened. Because it is conceivable that North Korea would launch simultaneous attacks (and if not simultaneous, soon thereafter) on the U.S. after unleashing a nuke on American fleets.

At best they are just threatening, and won't drop a nuclear bomb on a U.S. fleet, but rather engage in a very long war; one that will bankrupt the U.S. as China and Russia (not to mention Iran) would prefer. At worse, they can do it like a 'thief in the night.'

In either case the outcome doesn't look good for Asia as a whole or, for that matter, the whole wide world.

A Grand Theft -or- How Obama stole more than the headlines!

In an article by John Batchelor entitled   Panic 2011   Mr. Batchelor writes: "President Obama and Vice President Biden met the media Monday in order to reintroduce and promote the $1 trillion stimulus package from March."

With this having been said, all I can say is I told you so. The key word in the above sentence is "reintroduce." What you should be asking yourself is why would Obama, with Biden nevertheless, come out to REINTRODUCE the stimulus package announced three months ago in March? We're in June?

Simple! He needed to steal the headlines, as I said he'd do in my last post.

The administration knows America's mind is on bombs flying from the east, kidnapped Americans, terrorism, and taxes (yes being taxed even more to pay for a phony healthcare program). Yes, President Obama has a media conference all while we should be worrying about the safety and protection of Americans and America.

Obama is a showman, an empty suit and is now the man who will single handedly bankrupt the United States in a time that we should be preparing for the possibility of world war.

Ohh.. and for the record, the hugh amount of money (a little less than a $1,000,000,000,000.00 of your dollars) that was set aside to stimulate the economy? Less than six percent has been used to date and the Obama administration is now going to tap into it for it's own use... to stimulate Obama's popularity.

One can only ask what is his real intent because there's no end to his showmanship (complete with his authentication of the Holocaust). We know though, it is nothing more than hubristic ignorance. His gesturing, pointing and always desiring to steal attention, ceremonial humility be damned, is what makes you think his foreign policy trip is nothing more than a narcissist's dream where there is no shortage of cameras. For this man his image is everything... content and substance is all relative.

To Which God Will He Pray

President Obama is, after what seemed as negotiations with Saudi Arabia, in Egypt. What we need to know, not that we ever truly will, is if he is negotiating on Israel's behalf (because Israel doesn't need this kind of help Mr. President) on behalf of Palestinians or on his own; for his own sake and deluded perceptions of legacy.

Now, Obama sits with those who fully approve of the philosophy of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt, who has put the Brotherhood within their government body. For those who may not know or remember, the Muslim Brotherhood is an organization that has historic ties with Adolf Hitler and who plotted with the Nazi's to murder Jews.

So once again we see that some of President Obama's campaign promises are kept...

"It is time, I believe, to pursue direct diplomacy with friend and foe alike without preconditions"

...President Obama has, like Neville Chamberlain, now 'broken bread' with and vows to sleep along side those governments whose citizens wish to do us harm.

So, let us now treat equally those who do not see us as equals. He does it for Israel and he does it for you. Ask yourself, what will be your (or his) answer back when the enemy strikes again and to which God will he pray.

Network Attacks

For those who keep up with this blog, you know that I post to this column from Asia; specifically from the Philippines. You may have also noticed that last week I posted several days late.

The reason for this is now making news and, quite unfortunately, I experienced it first hand.

China is ferociously hacking networks. It is just another covert method the Chinese have been engaged in, to practice and prepare in the event of war. The American media has reported that even the United States does the same, but it is unlikely that the U.S. hacks to this extent.

China's network attacks this past week have been on media sources (Yahoo, YouTube and others), as well as, private networks and not just intelligence resources. Why? Because, while their first interest is to be prepared for attack, they are just as much threatened by western influence, social freedom and generally the American way of life.

The Department of Homeland Security has released data about onslaughts such as these. In three years, between 2005 and 2008, cyber attacks on government and private networks has not doubled or tripled but has increased 18 times; from approximately 4000 attacks in '05 to 72,000 last year. My estimate is that by years end it may well exceed 100,000 attacks.

During this same time, China was in constant development of software to harden their networks and military infrastructure. A 'great wall' of sorts that they maintain is not penetrable; and while China is not the only culprit* in all these attacks, they are the most prepared against counter attack.

In the wake of these threats, however, President Obama has announced a new position called "Cyber Czar" to oversee this looming problem. Whether this new department will operate under Janet Napolitano's Homeland Security or The Pentagon is another story. In my opinion, if it is The Pentagon then expect results. But if it is the bureaucracy that Homeland Security has become, then expect more of the same.

It is a step in the right direction though and Obama seems to be getting this one right or maybe he's listening to The Pentagon. With U.S. industrial and government computer systems under threat, The Pentagon admits that we are all at risk. Not just government computers but infrastructure systems are most vulnerable. Such as those that operate the electric grid, water systems, transportation (on the road, on the tracks, and in the sky), cell and landline communications, even banking systems and ATM machines. This is beyond the all too common "pry and spy" attacks.

Dale Meyerrose, a former chief information officer within the U.S. Intelligence Community, says government, industry, business and the public is just not secure or prepared for what may come. Meyerrose, who was interviewed by Kitty Pilgrim on CNN's Security Watch segment, exposes this vulnerability and says we are open to "cyber fry." This is when digital infrastructures are attacked with redundant data to create a 'denial of service' type hack resulting in system overload. Even more aggressive methods have been employed that include hardware hacking to cause an actual burnout of circuits. A digital crash and burn, if you will.

Whether the greater prepared attack comes from China, or a lesser organized attack by another nation, a malicious group or all of the above, all at once, it won't matter. If we are not ready, it could cost us all more than money.


*AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I have my beliefs on this matter --having personally experienced it just this past week and having been hacked recently by a person(s) whose IP originated in a Middle Eastern country-- that China, isn't the only one to watch out for. There is also an unorganized faction of fanatics within Islamic nations that pose a substantial threat as well; digital jihadists are practicing their skills in a desire to create western chaos. I can almost wager that this will be the next big story.

How Did This Happen... Again!

THE THREAT:

THE ACTION:
"The proposed sale process would see GM's profitable assets sold to a new company funded by the U.S. government in a fast-track bankruptcy process."

THE OUTCOME:
"The U.S. Treasury would own 72.5 percent of the new GM coming out of a bankruptcy sale process while a trust affiliated with the United Auto Workers union would own 17.5 percent, GM said in a filing with securities regulators."
"The announcement was the clearest indication yet that GM, the No. 1 U.S. automaker, is close to filing for bankruptcy under the direction of the Obama administration. It would be the biggest-ever bankruptcy for a U.S. industrial company."

What Do YOU Call This?

Do you remember when President Obama went to, what was it, Italy? And someone in the crowd wanted to kiss him? And they did? The Secret Service was never told by Obama to stop the adoring fan. He could have, but instead he allowed himself all the nearer. Or how about when the first Lady went to England and spoke with the High School girls there. You remember Michelle crouched down on the stage, slightly sliding, to adoring girls looking for a hug.

Now lets do a compare and contrast. No, not when that Iraqi journalist threw the shoe at then President George Bush; when probably the secret service was told to relax. No. We won't use that instance to compare to. Instead we will contrast against the most recent incident involving Obama's Secret Service.

Imagine this. Black, female journalist with White House press credentials is dragged away 'kicking and screaming' from an arriving Obama at the Los Angeles International Airport. Isn't it peculiar? Black? Female? Journalist? These are three descriptives that Obama favors, no? So why now?

Because the journalist, whose name is Brenda Lee and who writes for the Georgia Informer, wanted to personally deliver a letter to the President. But when she spoke about her desire with the Secret Service, who were awaiting the President's arrival, things changed. They waited for instructions and then escorted her out of the press area and outside the gate. Airport security (yes, I said airport security) then forcibly removed her; three officers picked her up, carried her out and detained her, only to later let her go.

So what did the letter say? Brenda Lee told the Associated Press that all she wanted, was to give President Obama a letter urging him "to take a stand for traditional marriage."

US Military Burns Bibles

Have you asked yourself... why doesn't the military serving in Obama's administration respect the Christian Bible as much as the military that served under Bush had respected the Muslim Koran?

If all things ARE equal this statement, made by President Obama's Supreme Court Justice nominee Judge Sonia Sotomayor, will mark her with the 'scarlet letter' of racism. She should have never been nominated, or worse, be confirmed. Period. The only real question now is should Sotomayor be allowed to sit in her present judgeship position or be removed for this obvious and public statement acknowledging her racist beliefs.

FOUR THINGS EVERY DEMOCRACY MUST UNDERSTAND TO SURVIVE.

1. we are involved in a war of ideals.
2. we need to secure our way of life.
3. we can't wait until we're attacked.
4. we must do whatever it may take.

If you don't agree then get prepared to 'kiss your donkey goodbye.' Because in case you haven't noticed by now, there are people who will do anything (including attacking your family, your community, your city and country) in order to secure THEIR way of life... their ideals. It's called hatefulness.
Reality check: this is real life in action. Your flowery or flatulent words won't cut it. It's a 'game over' scenario we're talking about here and if you believe otherwise, you'll be a really sore loser. As in, so sore that it hurts.
A hurting that will take generations to recover from (if WE recover at all).

An American Citizen's Response To President Obama's Address To The Nation:

Mr. President,

Those who wish to injure innocent Americans are not about to be "well behaved" just because America has vowed to some moral high ground. Believe it. Suicide bombers, jihadi pilots or their ilk will not stop their evilness just because you disagree with ""the previous administration"" or because you Mr. President wish to appear morally righteous. You endanger the nation by doing so but we will only recognize this when America is attacked again. A righteous man knows that the lives of the 'innocent many' outweigh the lives of a few evil men.

Mr. President, your childish ideals will cost hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of innocent American lives. Don't you get it? Our enemies don't fear us. They have hated us for almost a century and you wish to understand them? Educate them? Their indoctrination is more effective than your youthful ignorant idealism. Idealism that will get us killed.

When you shut down the prisons that hold terrorists, outlaw rational torture techniques and find lawyerly ways to deal with a constant looming threat you show your childish inability to lead; for those who mean us harm hated us long before we had prisons, interrogators or an American rule of law (a law incidentally that was meant only for American citizens). In case you have not noticed Mr. President, they hate us because we defend Israel; because we defend the Jews.

Now if we are attacked again in whose hands will you be in? Will you be judged harshly by our enemies or by those whom you were elected to protect?

Today Iran decided to test their missile to once again threaten Israel. If this story isn't ominous enough, the real story is that American President Barack Obama has said nothing about it. Could it get any worse? Yes, it can and it did... just days ago... at the press conference that most all Israelis had awaited.

President Obama used this press conference with Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to 'fill the air with flowery words.' He even got to the point where he had run out of things to say and began to ad-lib.

"So, let me just summarize by saying that I think Prime Minister Netanyahu has the benefit of -- of having served as prime minister previously, he has both youth and wisdom..." Obama said.

But at the end, it all signified nothing. The outcome? Obama will decide the fate of Israel by the end of the year.

"I am confident that in the days, weeks and months to come that we are going to be able to make progress on that issue."

Is there any wonder why Iran is preparing? Iran has nothing to fear. Iran believes America doesn't care what happens to Israel and if that's not bad enough, President Obama has tied the hands of Israel with threats not to do a first-strike on Iran.

Who will we blame for the holocaust this time?

My name is George C. Joseph. I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne, Florida. My family bought and paid for this automobile franchise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business.

We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people. We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month. All depend on our business for part of their livelihood. We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community. We have strong local presence and stability.

I work every day the store is open, nine to ten hours a day. I know most of our customers and all our employees. Sunshine Dodge is my life.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as "new," nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory.

Our facility was recently totally renovated at Chrysler's insistence, incurring a multi-million dollar debt in the form of a mortgage at Sun Trust Bank.

HOW IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN THIS HAPPEN?

THIS IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY

This is beyond imagination! My business is being stolen from me through NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. We did NOTHING wrong.

This atrocity will most likely force my family into bankruptcy. This will also cause our 50+ employees to be unemployed. How will they provide for their families? This is a total economic disaster.

Lars von Trier's film "Antichrist" however beautifully shot (mostly digital and probably with Red cameras) misses the whole point of what the Antichristos is all about.
It is quite amazing that this famed film maker stayed 'true to form' when he remade the Wicker Man but rewrites 'the greatest ending ever told?'

John's Revelation, when understood, is scarier than this film could ever be. But then again he's Danish nothing will scare him... except, of course, for his own depression... and maybe if he pondered judgement day.

The Big Blur

"Cotton candy down the street" White House press secretary Robert Gibbs is heard saying and then he continues with "it's a circus."

During a live press conference that was aired on C-Span, CNN and Fox amongst others, Robert Gibbs refers to his own briefing as a circus. It seemed strange, the laughter that proceeded the comment, was disjointed, nervous laughter. The press contingent was both visibly and audibly shocked into laughter at the going ons.

What happened was, two reporter's cell phones were heard 'going off' during what some had called a contentious White House briefing. Gibbs had 'gone off' as well, saying: "Just put it on vibrate, man." When a second phone (belonging to CBS' Bill Plante) began to ring it all appeared to get out of control and, quite conveniently, became comical.

Convenient because just prior to the cell phone antics Robert Gibbs was having a noticeably hard time with CNN's Ed Henry, as well as, ABC's Jake Tapper.
These two intrepid reporters {{tongue firmly planted in cheek... which incidentally sounds like tepid, when the tongue is in your cheek}} went back and forth with Gibbs about the President's decision not to release detainee abuse photos.

What? Abuse photos? Is that what the press briefing was all about?
NO. And nothing was out of control but strangely seemed staged.

Consider this: the press has had their cell phones ring many, many times before and Gibbs chose this ocassion to get upset about it? lt is all unbelievable. As if Robert Gibbs manipulated the press and cleverly used the ringing phones to do an impromptu misdirection. Trivializing, as Robert Gibbs has been known to do with tough questions, the subject of his own briefing.
Why? Because the administration badly wants the whole thing to go away. Misdirect and make trivial what could still be this administration's biggest blunder, the release of photos that would bog down the President's agenda. Yes, even though President Obama would like nothing more than to embarrass the last administration, he has learned that the release of the photos would hurt him more than anyone else.

Great performance Mr. Gibbs, you've succeeded at making it all a big blur.

They Live - The Sequel

I said in an earlier post (my third) that there was something a bit strange about the H1N1 virus. My exact words were:

"Now, it has only been a week since this pestilence was first reported and I have my beliefs. I haven't fully discounted that it may be, no kidding, a poorly bio-designed virus brought through Mexico. After all, let us not forget that the virus has a swine, bird, human component or that this is a virus cooked in the west and not in the east as viruses often do."

Less than two weeks later, Bloomberg News is reporting that this virus may have been cooked in a lab. Even the World Health Organization is taking this matter very seriously.

Needless to say, there are those who are quick to label you a conspiracy theorist and until this story gets out of it's 'Update 1' status I will stay quiet. Until, it's fully vetted, I will keep from an...
"I told you so."

It was the Biblical writer and Christian disciple Luke that wrote: "Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him." Luke was clear on the subject of forgiveness. Forgiveness begins with an apology and when an apology isn't forth coming, a rebuke is certainly in order.

Judging by the spiritual law that governs Pope Benedict XVI the rebuke coming out of Israel, America, England, Australia, Asia, India, Russia and the world over (yes even in Italy and Germany) are all justifiable.

The issue is about the Vatican, whose been acutely aware that Israel had hoped for a public apology upon the Papal visit to the Holy Land, but Pope Benedict has had an unrepentant spirit. Instead of a spirit of cooperation and respect as he asked of Israel. The facts as they stand are at best egregious.

What's there to apologize for? First, for the decisions made early in this Pope's life when he joined the Hitler Youth and was drafted into the German forces, deserting only towards the end of the war. Second, the Pope has allowed priests that have been anti-semetic to stay within the church (Bishop Richard Williamson and the "Society of Pius X" clan). Moreover, the Pope has made plans to declare Pope Pius XII a saint; for those who may not know, Pope Pius XII has been often referred to as the Nazi era pope, whom by his inaction and back turning, allowed Hitler to murder Jews.

This does not include the most recent trespass of the Pope during this visit to Israel, when he sat through a politically placed venomous speech by leading Palestinian cleric Sheikh Tamimi, at what was billed to be an evening devoted to interfaith dialogue. Pope Benedict stayed to hear the one-sided rants about Israel killing children, destroying homes and mosques in Gaza, of course, without even a scant mention of the thousands of rockets that Gaza has fired into Israel or the suicide bombers allowed to exist without impunity. The Pope didn't leave immediately but rather walked out, but not before shaking the hand of the hateful cleric, and only towards the end of this gathering.

All this was happening while Neo-Nazi's attacked survivors of the holocaust at a nearby memorial service for those who died in the concentration camps. Yes, in the wake of Pope Benedict calling Israel to peace and forgiveness and the giving up of more land to it's enemies, Neo-Nazis screaming 'Heil Hitler' attacked concentration camp survivors during a memorial service for the 345,000 killed (as had been reported by UK's Daily Mail).

It suffices to say that Jews, Jewish religious leaders, Christians and Christian leaders alike have a reason to rebuke this Pope for not having apologized as a German for the genocide, as a Catholic for their ignorance and as a Christian as The Bible commands us to do.

In spite of this the Vatican is already defending it, even to the ridiculous extent of denying the Pope's participation in the Hitler Youth. I predict that it won't be long before the Catholic League's Bill Donahue justifies it too.

Let's be real clear on this (Do you hear me Bill? Are you listening Vatican City?) Pope Benedict XVI must apologize if Catholics ever want to win the trust of fellow Christian faiths... yes, that's right, Christian faiths such as Evangelicals, Pentecostals, Baptists and the like... because like the Jewish community, we don't trust the motives of today's Catholic leaders. As for the Jewish people, I think the Pope has lost them.

Is Cheney Right?

There are some who give you the proverbial yawn when September eleventh is mentioned these days. However small that group is, the rest of us have witnessed it at least once in the workplace or at a social event.

The psychosis here --and yes, there is some inherently deep issue in your psyche if the death of close to three thousand Americans makes you yawn-- is probably centered around political partisanship or some apolitical (often conspiratorial) belief.

Again, the rest of America thinks different. All you have to do is ask anyone. Go ahead, ask a stranger the question: if you could save 100, 1000 or 2998 lives, by bringing someone just inches away from death, would you? Would you do it? Would you beat, kick, punch, slap, spit, drown or threaten a person who held in their hand a secret that could prevent many, many people from dying?

When said as plainly as this, however, a desperate few begin their diatribe. The tongues-go-a-wagging citing statistics that don't compare with the facts, saying just about anything to keep from the truth. The truth is that L.A. would be inhabitable at worse or would have become the world's largest parking lot, at best, if Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and others would have had their way. However difficult it is to admit, torture works. It worked in the last administration and it will work again. Information was gained, despite what many foolish politically correct or partisan people say in hindsight.

So, it is no wonder that when Dick Cheney appeared on CBS's "Face The Nation" that the conversation began anew. So much so that it woke up the yawners and comedic clowns alike (ala Wanda Sykes). But the question still stands and we must ask ourselves if Cheney was right? Could we even separate ourselves politically to answer it?

We must separate the message from the messenger, because those who wish to injure innocent Americans are not about to be "well behaved" just because America has vowed to some moral high ground. Believe it. Suicide bombers, kamikaze pilots or their ilk will not stop their evilness just because you disagree with Dick or because America's new President wishes to appear morally righteous. America's President endangers his nation by doing so but we will only recognize this when America is attacked again.

A righteous man knows that the lives of the innocent many outweigh the life of an evil man.

Eye Phone

When Apple Computer aired the now famous "1984" tv commercial, I am sure CEO Steve Jobs did not imagine this.

The iPhone, a next of kin to the product that was introduced in that very commercial, is spying on it's users.

First reported by German mac blogger Hendrik Holtmann, the story tells an ominous tale. Like something out of Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty Four" it is what the state of this technology has wrought.

Hendrik found that approximately one third of the iPhone apps he owned was spying on him. Grabbing and sending personal data such as his location (longitude and latitude coordinates), along with the unique iPhone ID, as well as, time stamp information on the usage of the nefarious apps. The worse part, according to Hendrik, is that the user has no idea and is not informed; it all happens 'in the background' unbeknownst.

The company responsible for the spying, Pinch Media, responds within Mr. Holtmann's blog comment section. "I wouldn’t think of us as Big Brother" says Greg Yardley, a Pinch Media spokesman, "we’re just a small business with a handful of developers, not a large governmental organization."

Well, one must wonder what the logic is there. Isn't a small company all the more a risk? Wouldn't they comply under threat or enticement of a government agency? Craigslist recently did, rightfully so. However who can forget how two corporate behemoths, Google and Yahoo, capitulated when China asked them for information about it's users. Users that China's government considered to be dissidents, because of their usage of those search engines, and therefore worthy of incarceration. With regards to Yahoo and Google, the media made it public; but with a small company the odds are that the release of information would be as much a secret as the way it was compiled in the first place.

The implications and possibilities for abuse are endless. Imagine what an insurance company could do with the data. If a user downloaded an application, say, that helped them remember their (HIV?) medication schedule or a weight loss app, or an app to stop smoking. Is it beyond belief that they would raise the premiums of it's policy holders or even cancel the policy? What if you downloaded apps that were considered to be of an 'adult nature?' Would this information be used in a court case to prove some obsession?

Unfortunately, the story that appeared on Hendrik Holtmann's blog hasn't gotten as much attention as it should. And the only upside, are the readers that commented on Hendrik's blog. But expect this all to come to the forefront when a company (or it's employees) has 'opened the lid on this' and sells or steals user data. It will be quite difficult to put the whole thing back into the past and will change telecommunications privacy forever.

Who Is The Anti-Something Or Other?

When The New York Times Magazine, in March, did their tongue-in-cheek-hit-piece titled "The Anti Obama" Newt Gingrich probably wasn't surprised.

Although he has been as consistent as Rush Limbaugh, Newt has been all the more diplomatic. So why on earth did The Times story demonize Newt, replete with a magazine cover that does the same?

Simple. Newt has graciously come against many of the present U.S. administration's key policies while at the same time agreeing on those (albeit few) policies that his opinion won't change.

The newest point made by Newt, however, isn't being heard on American soil and in my opinion Mr. Gingrich needs to speak a bit more bolder. The issue is about how the present U.S. administration is pushing Israel 'out in the cold' and the potentially catastrophic result it will produce.

"There's almost an eagerness to take on the Israeli government to make a point with the Arab world," Newt Gingrich told The Jerusalem Post in an interview last week.

Foreign affairs analysts and political pundits alike agree. In the new book "The Late Great State Of Israel" Aaron Klein makes the point that ignoring the problem in Israel will only force Israel to defend itself in the harshest way: a preeminent attack on Iran before Iran does, what it has threaten to do, destroy Israel. Klein further makes the point that Jerusalem has already been divided and that the 'land for peace' bargaining chip never really worked and never will.
The book, that almost seems like an after-read once you have re-read "The Late Great Planet Earth" by Hal Lindsey, was endorsed by Lindsey himself. Hal has said it is a "must-read for anyone seeking to understand the Mideast."

If Gingrich, Klein and others are right, however, you may not have enough time to read the book. Circumstances are changing so fast it may be a book historians will be referring to; with future generations, and possibly even The New York Times, referring to Obama as the anti-something-or-other.

FAA MEMO: Government Knew NYC Would Panic

When Matt Lauer interviewed Janet Napolitano, just last week on the NBC Today show, she was insistent that the FAA gave the approval on the now infamous Airforce One 'low buzz' flight over New York City. An FAA Memo now says that the government knew.

The memo, obtained by CBS 2HD and reported on by Marcia Kramer, tells a different story:

"the agency was aware of 'the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes' in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out."

Yes, you read correct... AND EVEN the mayor's office

Is this a shadow government conspiracy replete with psyche-ops or just unforeseen circumstances or a simple misunderstanding or is it a chance for the involved politicians to just fake-the-sentiment because they could care less what you think... and did you think the rest of the media (sans CBS) cared to get the full story?

Cinco De Rush

He was in rare form today. Enough for me to say that 09's Cinco De Mayo might well be the day Rush Limbaugh won a war of words. Words, that were mostly propagated by Democrats (and re-voiced by a Republican minority) insisting that conservatives must be more center left and liberal.

You can't say that Mr. Limbaugh was on a 'teaching tour.' After all he is the one voice that has been consistent, in all his years on radio, about the philosophy of the conservative. The points made reflect the attitude of today's republican party majority and the whole enchilada can all be encapsulated in a song lyric: Don't Go Changing.

Change, as promoted within the present democratic majority (complete with the constant teaching tour) is going to be quite destructive within four years according to Rush; so much so that an eight year term won't solve.

Today the 'party mind' was displayed so succinctly that it has set 'a million bloggers a blogging' and 'a hundred hosts a talking.' I predict May fifth may very well be the date remembered, when the Republican Party held their ground and defeated the enemy (the few left moving members of the R party and what appears to be a democratic majority).

The bottom line is that Rush Limbaugh is just vocalizing what Republican voters have been saying inside themselves. And while it doesn't give much fodder for a Vanity Fair piece, it does secure a place for Republicans in the next two major elections. Watch this space and this issue or you just might miss the party.

Time To Move Doomsday Clock Forward?

It has been two years since the British reported, in the Mail Online, that the keepers of the "Doomsday Clock" would move it forward. It hadn't been moved for four years but the threat of atomic annihilation, at the time, was considered to be all the more imminent.


The clock which is based on a a metaphorical 'midnight of mass destruction' is an ongoing project of the "Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists" and has been moved forward and backward since it's inception in 1947.

Now, with what is and is not going on, we should ask that question again: Is it time to move the Doomsday Clock forward?

Consider a threat in Pakistan, a threatening North Korea, a double threat within Iran and Israel, as well as, atomically armed nations coming to the defense of their allies and you have the reasons (now more than ever) for it to be moved forward.

I am saying the Doomsday Clock should be one minute before midnight. Don't think so... then read for yourself and see if it doesn't appear apocalyptic.

Obama must not take his eye off of Pakistan. Obama must be strong with North Korea. Obama must meet with Netanyahu. The solutions, however simple as they appear, seem to be far from the mind of America's President.

Correction?

I need to make a correction. In an earlier post I said we are in an age of ignorance, I was wrong. We are really in an age of Queer Fascism.

This revelation came from a conversation, about the Miss America Pageant, I had with a friend. I was embarrassed, a little bit there, for Mario Lavandeira (aka Perez Hilton) by the scathing comments made.

Of course after some thought, it made a whole lot of sense. My friend, who is gay, referred to him as Perez Hitler; only to add that his last name literally translates into "washtub" and what did I expect? The backbiting went on until I changed the subject. All I kept saying, at the time, was couldn't the whole thing be handled better?

Anyone will tell you that the gay and lesbian community is better served by NOT having manic depressive characters represent them. Let's be honest here, Mr. Lavandeira was not defending gay and lesbian issues on the Miss America pageant but rather using the community (as he has for some time) to gain a name.

It was obviously a self interest move by a man whose childish anger proves he's unstable. Does he have some warped need for rejection or some identity problem that gives him the impetus to compete with a beauty queen contestant? Is it as simple as a need for true acceptance?

The real question is, have we not had enough of the swish-swish, be rude, loud, sarcastic, fast moving, always chatty caricatures of gay men? Because it really defines nothing more that ridiculous behavior in the short run and serves no real purpose in the long run. At least not for the community.

Isn't it obvious that only a foolish man demands tolerance but doesn't give it. Wait, let's retract that correction. I was right at first, this IS the age of ignorance.

They Live

Like something out of a John Carpenter movie, airport screeners in Singapore are screening for signs of the live H1N1 virus . The World Health Organization has Asia and Europe on heavy alert. But who can say for sure when it will all unfold?


Some would say this pandemic tracking isn't exactly an exact science, but I think different. It can be effectively tracked, only, if the information is exact and not being skewed by irresponsible reporting of the facts.

The Mexican government is the chief culprit in the faulty reporting. The reported number of real cases coming out of Mexico are of major concern being that they are ground zero for the virus. At best the reporting is sloppy, at worst, deceptive. If Mexico reports an epidemic of apocalyptic proportions the government stands to gain (monetary) support from the world over but trade and tourism will lose more than whatever gains are made. If it under reports the toll of H1N1 and this virus becomes truly apocalyptic, it will compromise it's global reputation, a timely financial gain and the concern of the world in response to the deaths of their countrymen. No wonder.

The media major-domos come a close second to this hyper-reporting. The fourth estate seems to be 'all over this' but what effect will they have if the headline story is no longer. Will we think it's all over? You may insert the 'boy who cried wolf' analogy here. There are better ways to report the story without the grand alert-alert sound effects and 'man on the street' type reporting which only speaks to the public's perceptions and not the formative facts.

The third in the line of guilt is the WHO itself. The World Health Organization either knows something the rest of us don't or their "Shock Room" is in shock and in CYA mode. By the time of this writing the WHO has raised their alert level again and while it is good to be prepared 'alert overload' does desensitize a population. Equally, if it is under reported or irresponsibly reported and the virus does get out of control people may refuse to accept the gravity of the event; in all cases though, the real danger may lie in a delayed out break. Public perception will be worse if the virus resurfaces in sixty days.

Now, it has only been a week since this pestilence was first reported and I have my beliefs. I haven't fully discounted that it may be, no kidding, a poorly bio-designed virus brought through Mexico. After all, let us not forget that the virus has a swine, bird, human component or that this is a virus cooked in the west and not in the east as viruses often do. I suspect though that by the end of the month it will amount to nothing more than a mild 1968 Hong Kong Flu and not as critical as the 1918 Spanish Flu. For me to believe that it is a virus of epic proportions it has to out rank the yearly flu that kills a minimum of 100 people per day. A resurfacing of the virus in sixty days or later this year concerns me more in that we may be psychologically immune.

By then we will know for sure if this was a bio lab 'break out' or a real virus out break. We'll also know by then whether to call it H1N1 or N1H1 or something else.
