When Matt Lauer interviewed Janet Napolitano, just last week on the NBC Today show, she was insistent that the FAA gave the approval on the now infamous Airforce One 'low buzz' flight over New York City. An FAA Memo now says that the government knew.The memo, obtained by CBS 2HD and reported on by Marcia Kramer, tells a different story:
"the agency was aware of 'the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes' in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out."Yes, you read correct... AND EVEN the mayor's office
Is this a shadow government conspiracy replete with psyche-ops or just unforeseen circumstances or a simple misunderstanding or is it a chance for the involved politicians to just fake-the-sentiment because they could care less what you think... and did you think the rest of the media (sans CBS) cared to get the full story?
